Polaris is creating a whole new category of off road vehicle using an innovative yet simple recipe…ATV + UTV = FUN!
“In creating the Sportsman ACE, we wanted to not only appeal to current off-road enthusiasts, but develop a vehicle that brings new customers to off-road recreation,” says David Longren, vice president of Polaris’ Off-Road Division. “We accomplished this by coupling an easy-to-use, nimble platform with a confident and secure ride that, together, provides drivers of all experience levels a new way to experience the outdoors.”
Rider-centric design lends protection and performance.
The Polaris Sportsman ACE combines elements of ATV and UTV designs to provide the size and handling of an all-terrain vehicle with the comfort and security of a side-by-side. A single adjustable bucket seat and steering wheel allow for easy access for riders of all sizes. Once inside, the driver’s position between the four wheels gives beginning riders a feeling of security, and incredible responsiveness for experienced riders. Seasoned off-road drivers will also appreciate the performance of the ACE’s fully independent rear suspension (IRS) outfitted with performance twin tube shocks featuring adjustable preload.
Another feature of the Polaris Sportsman ACE that is attractive to new and long-time off road riders alike is its width. At 48-inch (121.9cm), the ACE fits on virtually every OHV trail in the country, as well as in the back of a full-size pickup truck.
All-wheel drive traction on demand!
Riders of all experience levels will appreciate the same “On-Demand True All-Wheel Drive” (AWD) system that automatically engages when the rider needs more forward traction and then reverts back to two-wheel drive automatically when the AWD is no longer needed. Driver safety is further assured by four-wheel disc brakes with braided stainless steel brake lines that provide optimum response and minimal fade.
Polaris Sportsman ACE puts the “fun” back in functional.
A 2.8-gallon under-hood storage compartment complements an 18” x 35” lock & ride cargo box in back that allows the ACE to haul up to 575 pounds. The ACE is also equipped for addition of a trailer receiver/hitch that allow riders to tow up to 1500 pounds, and a winch that provides up to 3500 pounds of capacity. Riders can further tailor their Polaris Sportsman ACE with over 25 accessories including doors, cabs, and use-specific storage systems for utility and recreational uses.
Polaris is hopeful that the design of the new Sportsman ACE will draw riders of all ages and experience levels with a confidence-inspired trail-capable ride, available for an MSRP of $7,499.
