Introducing Our New “Intelligent” Search Tool

We are always looking for ways to improve our site and the online shopping experience for our customers and we know that search is one area where customers wanted to see more options. Today, we are excited to announce the launch of our new search tool powered by SearchSpring. The new tool introduces a highly advanced set of features that make finding products on our site faster and more "intelligent."

At the base of the SearchSpring tool is the "Intellisuggest" system which learns as it goes. As more and more people use the site and browse for products, SearchSpring search tool analyzes the behavior and search data to improve the results of the data returned. The result? A faster, more relevant, more precise and…dare I say, FUN searching experience!

Although we had made improvements to our previous search tool to improve search results, the new SearchSpring powered search tool adds a whole new level of functionality.

Try out some of the new features:

  • Rich Auto-Complete – just start typing into the search field and the tool will suggest products as you type including a small thumbnail image of the product, the product name, SKU and price. Now you can comparison shop before you even hit "search!"
  • Did you mean? – the search will provide suggestions for similar or related products even if the term(s) you entered came back with 0 results. No more dead ends.
  • Filtering – once you've typed in your search term(s) and hit "search" you can filter search results by brand or category and then drill down further beneath those.
  • Sort By – sort the search results in several ways: alphabetically; relevance; price; rating/review and more.

We are excited to have launched such a robust search tool and we hope you enjoy the new features.
