2000CN_1_1        Kolpin Hand Guard Mounting Instructions-97300

Parts list:

2000CN_5

Mounting:

1. Align the Right Mounting Bar to the handle bars on the riser portion of the right side. Using the Mounting Strap, 1” Hex bolt, and Screw, fasten the Mounting Bar to the handle bars. (In some cases cutting the vinyl sleeve and removing it may be necessary) Align the Screw through the Mounting Strap and into the threaded hole on the Mounting Bar and tighten. Align the 1” Hex bolt through the Mounting Strap and the Mounting Bar and install the lock nut. Snug but do not tighten at this time.

2. Position the Right Hand Guard in front of the Mounting Bar so that the holes on the posts align with the hole on the Mounting Bar. Refer to the drawing below for the three options for mounting the Hand Guard to the Mounting Bar. Using the 2.25” Hex bolt, Spacer Block, Lock Washer and Hex Nut, fasten the Hand Guard to the Mounting Bar in your desired position by inserting the bolt from the mirror side of the hand guard. You MUST use the star washer between the aluminum mounting bar and the plastic mounting surface! The star washer must contact the plastic surface AND the mounting bracket in order to prevent the hand guard from pivoting on the mount. DO not over tighten the mounting bolt and nut or you can damage the plastic mounting boss on the handguard!.

3. Tighten all Mounting Bar and Hand Guard Bolts after you have achieved the desired position.
4. Repeat Steps 1-3 for the LEFT side application.

Montage

Hand guard rear mirror Review by Mark C

Nice product. I ordered 2 sets.
Both installed pretty easy.
1 on a 2014 570 sportsman, the other 2013 400 KingQuad.
Shipped promptly and these were priced the best. They could have included 4 more star washers to put between the spacer. This would help the up and down rotation.
A little overpriced and 4 more washers and the rating would be higher.
Still recommended. (Posted on 1/5/2014)

Very nice product. The price @ GearUP was the best and shipped promptly. I ordered 2 sets. Installed pretty easy on my 2014 570 Polaris sportsman. the other on my wife's 400 KingQuad. I saw where on of the other reviews said the mirrors vibrated and moved position, There are 2 star washers shipped to help prevent this. In my opinion there should be 2-4 more where you put the spacer.
This would help keep it from rotating up or down,
I would recommend these to anyone. A little overpriced, but no one else makes them.
A little cheaper and more washers all 5 stars. (Posted on 1/5/2014)
